FORBES NAMES TOBY KEITH HIGHEST PAID COUNTRY MUSICIAN
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) There's no summer vacation for Toby Keith, whose combination of creativity and work ethic have made him one of the most successful entertainers of his era. Most recently, Forbes has ranked him as the top earning country performer on its list of the World's 25 Highest Paid Musicians.
Keith leads a group of six country musicians in the top 25. Beyond his music, the publication also cites his Wild Shot mezcal and the I Love This Bar And Grill chain of restaurants.
Speaking of Toby Keith's Wild Shot mezcal, the Oklahoman's signature spirit is now available in 22 states and the number is growing quickly for the just-launched brand. Additionally, Wild Shot is proudly served in all of his I Love This Bar And Grill restaurants. A premium mezcal authentic down to the worm in the bottom of each bottle, the traditional Mexican cousin to tequila fits perfectly with themes running through many of Keith's songs including "Stays In Mexico," "Bullets In The Gun" and "Good To Go In Mexico."
Premiered on the nationally televised CMT Music Awards June 8, Toby's latest single "Made In America" is his fastest-rising chart hit in five years. Keith opened the show with the song.
In other Keith news, he'll be performing at Nashville's legendary Bluebird Café June 28 to raise funds for the historic venue, which was recently purchased by Nashville Songwriters Association International. Joining him will be longtime collaborators Bobby Pinson and Scotty Emerick. His Ford F-Series sponsored Locked & Loaded Tour begins June 30 in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
